When I see the mirror, I see you not myself.

When I see my reflection, I find it’s yours not mine.

Increase options or increase possessions?

I now need to learn the difference between:
Options and possessions,

And find:
Options amongst possessions, and
Possessions amongst options!

Tell me something you want to spend on: to buy or to save?
[Me: Lot of time and a good camera]

My New Year Resolution!!!

Read as much as I can!
Write as much as I can!
Learn as much as I can!
Explore as much as I can!
Travel as much as I can!

No Crying!
No Cribbing!
No Gossiping!

Thank God!!! Every year there are so many new year days (Diwali in Gujarat, 1st Jan, Your Birthday, Chaitri Beej for Kutchis, Cheti Chand for Sindhis and many more). So you never miss a chance on creating your resolution for the year.

Tell me your new year resolution.

I own a thing that travels faster than light !

My thoughts travel faster than light, sound and anything else you can think of!!! A word from you is enough for my mind’s eye. Before you complete your sentence, I have a story ready; my imagination is always bizarre. A very best friend of mine told me about his engagement. I am so very happy for him. I saw girl’s picture on FB.

After I logged off from FB & gmail, I was thinking of him and then got lost into other-various-random-related-unrelated thoughts. In just fractions of seconds I travelled the entire world.

Today it rained, and I could smell wet sand. But not sure the route that I took today to go from Euston to Euston square was shorter or longer than the usual route I take.

I saw a lady in green jacket. My all time favourite color is black. Second favourite keeps on changing; currently it’s green. And I am too much obsessed with cleaning. I am afraid, how will I manage expenses after I move to London and after marriage. I will have to compromise with travel again. When am I going to visit Italy, Spain, Egypt, Amsterdam, Greece!!! Did I love the snow covered Mt. Titlis more or was I more mesmerized by the shimmering Eifel Tower? I never wanna go to US; but will go if my sister’s there.

I have developed this very weird pain in my left leg, such that I am not able to walk sometimes. Friends say I need to improve my eating habits; I hate bananas. I love certain kinds of aches. I suffer from a milder version of agoraphobia.

I love chocolate and remember it when I last had it. I have just one addiction – Tea. I have never been drunk and never smoked. One morning I feel I am gaining weight, the other I feel I am reducing.

I can’t stop thinking of Indian World Cup victory; the feeling has not yet sunk in. I still don’t know why Dhoni came to bat in 5th position even when he was not in that good form. I still wish Sachin could have made a century. Oh, today is Tuesday. Mom said there is some world cup victory rally in Mumbai today. They had fun watching WC finals, I too had; but it would have been more fun if we would have watched it together. Oh, I need to call home and check with dad a good date to move in to the new house.

The “Go Bananas” race is on 14th and my manager has registered for it. We have a meeting on the same day. I need to ping him now & re-schedule the meeting. Let me inform him this and then go for a Tea-break!!!

Finally, I am back to the original-normal-work world.

Do your thoughts rest?
Me:
Yes; when I need them to flow! No; when I want them to hush!

I thought I was changed…

Today I have completed 2 yrs in the UK. I had actually forgotten this date. However, a funny question reminded me of that.

There are some issues with my movement to another IDU and they needed some information of mine. They asked me a question “When did u first land in UK?” Funny question, as if I had landed on moon that day. And after I replied to that email, I realized it’s been two years.

Two years is a long time. I still can’t believe I have stayed here for such a long time. And that too away from family and friends … I simply believe that the only thing that keeps you going is family and friends and I am the kind of person who used go home every other weekend when I was in Pune. And now once in 1.5 yrs. Seems I have gained a lot of strength and a lot more patience.

That was the time when ppl used to call me an emotional fool. I think I have grown up now. I have become a lot more practical. Now, I can smile even in front of ppl I just hate. I can stay in hostile environment and adjust to any place. And the biggest achievement is that I seldom cry J May be I have adjusted to the new environment. I can politically handle all the political ppl around me. Oh yeah. And I now know how to look gud ;) And there are many other things I am not able to think of right now.

However, I am still the same confused person. I am still not able to decide whether the change is for gud or bad.

I was talking to Spruha the other day and I was telling her the same thing. That I have changed and I can now adjust to any environment. And she replied “But you still talk the same things”. May be you never change to the ppl you love.

This time when I was coming to UK I was feeling very nostalgic and very sad. The first two times I hardly cried. But this time I cried in the flight, in the airport while waiting for next flight, in the bus while travelling to MK. And I just didn’t want to come back. This was the thing I had least expected.

I miss India so much. As they say and it’s very true – East or west.. India is the best J

Hmm.. the point is that the change is quite evident. But somewhere inside I feel I am still the same person. I cry when I miss my ppl, am happy and contented with small things and am still an emotional fool; I hardly use my brains and believe in whatever my heart says.

May be my behavior and attitude towards life are changed; but I have not.
